Flag & Classification societies withdraw services from Russian
We recently saw IACS Council Withdrawing Russian Register’s Membership of IACS; the last couple of days we have seen also a number of Classification societies (LR, ABS) withdraw their services from vessels that are controlled, owned or managed by Russian entities, which could lead to a vast number of vessels hastily looking for new certification and in some cases insurance arrangements. As expected some Flag societies (such as Cyprus) seem to follow the same route.
